I was lucky enough to have captured this image on film many years ago….The fog gave the appearance that the lighthouse and ancillary buildings were floating in the air….I painted this in 2013 as part of a Big Sur series of artwork.
This is a painting that represents fireworks being shot off of barges off the Honolulu Coast….A fun project and colorful…just like July 4!
My paintings are now on display right outside of Sedona, AZ at “The Miner’s Pick Gallery” in Jerome at 123 Hill Street located at what once was the hospital and surgeon’s home. Stop in and see Melissa and their incredible offerings of natural wood furniture, crystals, gemstones, geodes, and fossils along with my artwork hanging on the walls. This painting came from complete immersion into color without regard for what I was doing until most of the image came forth from the subconscious….much like a dream…..

“CHAPEL OF THE ROCKS” PAINTED 2014. The Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Sedona was designed by the infamous Frank Lloyd Wright. This was the most difficult thing I’ve ever attempted on an iPad. Without the use of straight-edge tools the building was constructed almost pixel line by pixel line, over and over. This was an exhausting piece for architectural detail.
Painted in 2013. The infamous Arch at Love Beach in Cabo San Lucas, MX. A hurricane in the nineties wiped away this access to the back of the arch from Love Beach and is only accessible by boat now. There was a well-explored cave to the left of it as well. Haven’t been back in many years…the land of tequila and timeshares…..

I painted this one in 2014 shortly after a trip to Zion and Bryce National Parks. The Hoo Doo’s were difficult to capture the feel in this digital painting. If you’ve ever seen them you know how incredible they are, merely fragile sand piles supporting a large rock at their peaks. I love the Southwest and it’s colors so this is one of my favorites.
